We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, Grand Designs is one of our favourite exhibitions (and TV shows!) and what an exhibition we had at Grand Designs Live at the NEC in Birmingham this month!
Hundreds of budding self-builders and show visitors came to see us on stand B370 to share their own Grand Designs and self-build project stories; it was fantastic to chat to each and every one of you. We had numerous conversations about security doors and windows for self-build and renovations and passed on our expert advice and guidance to so many people, something we really enjoy doing.
Planning your very own self-build can be both hugely rewarding but also very time consuming – we know, we’ve been there! There are so many different elements and areas to consider and agree upon, it’s unsurprising that many people get confused and stressed with the endless choices, decisions and regulations when it comes to building their dream home.
At Secure House, we’ve handled our own self-builds and worked with numerous clients to help them to successfully fulfil their own projects. There is help at hand and we have the unique experience of implementing a self-build from both sides!
Take a walk around the residential streets of Hampstead, Kensington, Chelsea and Watford and you’ll notice that many of the beautiful houses offering luxurious living all have one thing in common: they all have high security doors and windows fitted.
It’s exhibition time once again here at Secure House. From 5th to 13th May we’ll be at one of our favourite shows, Grand Designs Live at ExCeL, London and we’ve got not one, but two new products to launch! More on that exciting news in a moment.
First and foremost, the Secure House team will be on hand to advise you on your Grand Design or Build. Choosing a new front door for your property can be mind-boggling as there are literally hundreds of different products out there. It’s such an important decision so we’ll help you get it just right!
A STATEMENT FROM SKYDAS
Here at Skydas, we officially appoint accredited partners in selected countries to sell our Skydas range of products.
Over the last few months, however, we have noted numerous companies around the world, particularly in the UK, claiming to be accredited Skydas partners and suppliers when that is certainly NOT the case.
Sadly, people who have purchased products from these companies have been left both out of pocket and very disappointed with the finished door because it is actually a fake security door product that has turned out to be wholly sub-standard once fitted.
We operate and manufacture under extremely rigorous and exacting standards to ensure that each and every door we produce is of exceptional quality and fit for purpose. Over the last two decades, we have invested significant sums in research and development to enable us to design and deliver the world’s most burglar-resistant doors.
Please be cautious when making a purchase and, if you are in the UK, please note that Secure House Limited is our ONLY accredited partner in the UK to sell and install Skydas doors. If any other company shows you a Skydas certificate it will not be an official certificate as they DO NOT have the legal rights to sell Skydas products.
If you think you have purchased a product that pertains to be manufactured by us but you’re worried it might be a fake, please contact us at our factory direct via email firstname.lastname@example.org
We’re going to ecobuild at ExCel in London from 6 – 8 March 2018 and we’d love to see you there on our stand at D1C!
At the show, the Secure House team will be presenting several new additions, specifically for passive homes and other eco building projects, to our extensive security door range. These include the SKYDAS 2000, a steel security door which offers a rating of thermal transmittance of just 1W ((m2K) to effectively save heat in the home. Available in a variety of finishes and shades it offers unlimited design possibilities with single, double, side or upper panels and either an in- or outswing option.
Our brand new showroom, located at Unit 20, Ribocon Way on Progress Park in Luton, is shaping up nicely with construction almost complete.
There are a few finishing touches still being made but the showroom is open to the public and it’s proving to be the ideal place to showcase our entire product range with samples of everything we sell including security doors, security windows, steel security doors, garage doors, sash windows and aluminium bi-fold doors.
This year the Secure House team attended no less than five different exhibitions across the UK and each one was a real success in its own right.
First off, in May, we headed to the Excel Centre in London for Grand Designs Live with possibly our best stand to date and then in June it was over to Surrey for the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show for what turned out to be a record breaking event for the organisers – it was certainly very busy for us too!
We had not one, but two stands at the exhibition. So, Edmundas and the team were kept very busy talking and meeting with visitors who turned up at both stands over the five days.
